FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Colorado State defeated Wyoming 35-13 on Sept. 5, winning the Bronze Boot Trophy in the latest edition of the Border War rivalry.
The victory marked the first game for Jim Mora as Colorado State’s head coach. The Rams’ defense made an immediate impact, recording three interceptions while helping Colorado State control the game.
Quarterback Hauss Hejny threw five touchdown passes as the Rams’ offense continued to find success throughout the game.
“CSU is a place that was hungry to win and hungry to have success,” Mora said.
The win also marked Colorado State’s first victory as a member of the new Pac-12.
Colorado State opens the season 1-0 and will host Southern Utah next week.
