Simi Valley, CA — In a thrilling, highlight packed showdown, Simi Valley High delivered a
dominant performance over Thousand Oaks, securing a 48-28 victory behind a dynamic
offensive display and relentless defensive pressure.
Quarterback Connor Petrov (#10) and receiver Quinton McGahan (#17) were virtually
unstoppable, connecting multiple times including a 20-yard touchdown on the opening drive and
a deep bomb in the third quarter that left the crowd stunned. Petrov added two rushing
touchdowns of his own, dodging defenders with ease and showing why he’s the clear West

Simi’s ground game, led by Zane Tyron (#14), was just as lethal. Tyron found the end zone
twice in the first half and consistently shredded the Thousand Oaks defense behind a dominant
offensive line that controlled the trenches all night.
Thousand Oaks QB Jackson Taylor (#7) tried to keep pace, delivering impressive strikes to
standout WR Luke Sullivan (#4) and deep threat Hayden Vercher (#8), including a pair of
deep touchdown passes that kept the Lancers within striking distance. But Simi’s defense,
highlighted by constant backfield pressure and a crucial interception by #2 James Scida,
proved too tough to overcome.
