The Seattle Mariners traveled to face the Los Angeles Angels in a spring training exhibition matchup. The Angels entered the game with a 10–12 record, riding momentum after winning their previous two games against the Chicago White Sox and the Cleveland Guardians.

The Angels got the offense going in the second inning. Nolan Schanuel sparked the rally with a triple, and Logan O’Hoppe followed with an RBI single to bring Schanuel home, giving the Halos an early 1–0 lead.

Both teams remained competitive through the first three innings, but the Angels added to their lead in the fourth. Zach Neto lifted a fly ball that resulted in an out but allowed O’Hoppe to tag up and score, pushing the Angels ahead 2–0. The Mariners answered quickly when Cole Young delivered a single that drove in Colt Emerson, cutting the deficit to 2–1.

The close game didn’t last long. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Gustavo Campero delivered a clutch two-RBI double, bringing home both O’Hoppe and Oswald Peraza to extend the Angels’ lead to 4–1.
Seattle managed to get one back in the eighth inning when Luis Suisbel launched a home run to right field, trimming the score to 4–2. However, the Angels responded late when Adam Frazier ripped a line-drive double that allowed two more runners to score, sealing a 6–2 victory over the Mariners.

The Angels showcased strong hitting and aggressive base running throughout the game. O’Hoppe led the way, scoring twice and driving in another run, making him a key contributor in the win. The Halos now have nine preseason games remaining and will face the Colorado Rockies on March 15th.
